The value of church has come to the forefront of my thoughts with all the snow this winter.
We happen to live on a hill and cannot get off the hill easily when it is icy or slick.
Due to the storms of 2014-2015 we've had to cancel services due to safety concerns and icy conditions in the parking lot and surrounding roads.
I genuinely missed being there. The interaction with God and His people is good for the soul. He is our strength and shield.
The storms have fallen on Wednesdays and Sundays forcing our hand on decisions. What if we were not able to meet at the church building for other reasons? Like persecution, or fire or vandalism. I think the truth in us would find a way to meet - even if like this week - it meant worshipping God in our homes.
